Alex Evans has always been interested in music from a very young age, and had his first DJ equipment when he was only 13 years old and went mobile playing at many birthday parties, weddings, charity events and any other DJ opportunities that came his way.  He has also always had a fascination with lighting and electricity and was often building his own dj lighting or building 12 Volt generators out of old lawn mower engines and car alternators.

At 28 he decided that it was time to go abroad and see if he could make it on the DJ circuit and travelled to Magaluf, Tenerife, Benidorm and Ibiza where he worked on and off for the next 7/8 years and had a successful career on the club circuit and worked with some of the well-known greats.

Returning to the UK in 2008, Alex continued his mobile DJ Career back in the UK as well as going back to work full time but also started to put together a business plan for Various Events, somewhere people could go to discuss their event with someone with experience in the industry, find the goods and services they needed and have someone manage the delivery of it for them.

In 2015 Various Events was launched aimed at the wedding and birthday area of entertainments.  On various occasions customers would ask if he could supply power as they was having there event in a marquee.  From there Various Events went from weddings to medium sized festivals on the generator and power side of the business.  Various Events continued to grow and grow.

In 2021 Various Events changed its name to Power Events Ltd.  This was purely to align the name with what the main focus of the business now did.  Alex decided to retire from Djing at this time and concentrator on growing Power Events Ltd.
